I was driving in the car with my husband and six month old daughter, Lily and she began to cry. We pulled over and I got into the back seat with her so that I could comfort and feed her. Unfortunately, her bottle began leaking all over me, the car and even worse, her. I quickly looked around and asked my husband for napkins or wipes, but none were to be found. Instead, I found Lily's soft, pink blanket, which I quickly wrapped around her bottle to stop the leaking and for the first time in my little Lily's six months of life...she reached up and held her own bottle. Not only that, but she began to stroke the softness of the fabric, and was suddenly soothed, happy and full.
At that moment, overjoyed by my daughter's new independence, it came to me...wouldn't it be great to have something like this that taught our little one's to hold their own bottles. Since I am a huge animal lover, I thought animals and bugs would be really fun for babies and toddlers, and we could use their soft ears and wings as handles to learn to lift and hold their own bottles and cups. I tried the idea out with a prototype with my daughter and she couldn't get enough of it, and refused a bottle with out her LilyBug.
From then, we have made many animals and bugs, and are changing the way babies and toddlers are learning, and revolutionizing eating and drinking for babies and toddlers. It truly is remarkable to watch your little one gain independence by holding their own bottle and cups, and also to provide them with a soft cuddly animal friend, who makes a much needed replacement for the normal hard plastic bottle or cup.
Personally, and now nationally, they have become a tremendous success, and I hope they are for you, too.
